Sign was a project designed and implemented for display online and around several window galleries during the 2021 lockdown in the ACT.

Tony Curran (b.1984) is a Canberra-based artist working between painting, drawing and digital media. His work explores what’s at stake as individuals and communities become increasingly dependent on digital devices. Of particular focus is touch-screens as symbols of our physical intimacy with computers. Sign takes Curran's exploration into pixel-based colour by exploring gradients of red, green and blue, building on an aesthetic he developed for his 'attention machines', recently on exhibition in Colour Separations at Megalo Print Studio.
